The ZD8I QSL operation is non-profit making, indeed incomes do not cover the costs and to limit losses, the following conditions apply:-
QSL cards will only be accepted when the callsign on the received card is exactly the same as the callsign in the ZD8I station log. Any cards received from radio club, contest group or special event stations bearing an operator's personal callsign will be rejected.
QSL cards received with a self-addressed envelope and full return postage - your ZD8I QSL card will be sent to you by airmail.
QSL cards received with a self-addressed envelope but with insufficient return postage - your ZD8I QSL card will be sent to you direct, however, we may use a cheaper method of postage, e.g. surface mail.
QSL cards received with full return postage but no self-addressed envelope - your ZD8I QSL card will be sent to you direct, however, it may be delayed as I have much more interesting things to do than write your addresses on envelopes!
QSL cards received with a self-addressed envelope but no return postage - your ZD8I QSL card will be sent to you via the bureau.
QSL cards received via the bureau - your ZD8I QSL card will be sent to you via the bureau.
SWL's cards are welcome. They will be handled in the same way as QSL cards.
Electronic QSL cards, including those emailed or faxed will not be accepted.
Postage Rates:
UK addresses - one 1st or 2nd class UK postage stamp.
Europe & North America - one valid IRC, one Euro or one green stamp.
All other countries - two valid IRC's, two Euros or two green stamps.
Postage Stamps:
We receive a lot of used postage stamps. If you are (or you know someone who is) a stamp collector, let us know when you QSL direct so that we can enclose a few used stamps with your ZD8I QSL card.
